My grandpa was a horobin from cannock staffs. I was wondering if we are related in some way. But for the life of me i cannot remember his christian name, he was just always gramps. He had 4 children, ingrid, morag and keith and debbie. I would be interested if there is a relation for you to get in touch. cheers

Just typed in Horobin to see wht came up. I'm from the Stafford Horobins. My Grand father was from Walton-on-the-Hill, I think his name was John (died in the 1950's from memory), My dad was Stanly, he died in Geraldton, Western Australia eight years ago Born 1913). Never been a 'great'family has it? I keep my fingers crossed one day maybe! I have five kids - 3 x Horobin's and 2 x Horobin-Lavan's. Regards peter H 'ich ('ozzi 'oribin', 'orrible, ozza,)

I met today a Matthew Horobin, a relationship manager for the National Australia Bank in Sydney. He is English with the pommy accent.I was interested in the history of the surname and its original meaning or nationality.

Always looking for a link to my Horobins, but I don't think there is a connection, unfortunately. The furthest back I have got is a John Horobin, born Uttoxeter, Staffs, around 1809, who married Mary Wait from Yoxall, Staffs. Enjoyed your site. Sally in Sydney, Australia

hello fellow horobin! :) We were just googling around and came across your web-site. Our branch of Horobins comes from the Wolverhampton area though none of them live around there now. We would love to see if there is a connection to make with you and to fill you in about our family if you are interested. Joanna

My brother is the Matthew Horobin mentioned further up... the banker in Oz with the 'pommy' (geordie) accent. Our father's name is Peter Horobin. He comes from Western Australia. His parents were called Arthur William and Jean. I think they were farmers in WA. Our Peter Horobin has four brothers and 4 children. I live in England.

Hello
My Uncle: David Horobin was born November 17, 1939 in/near
London. His father may have been a sailor. Both his parents were killed during
the war and he was raised/adopted by J. Balfour and lived in Uxbridge,
Middlesex. David would like to contact any relatives. Do you have any
suggestions.
